GapShield™ Tailgate Gap Cover Specifications

• Length: 60 inches - Fits most full size pickup tailgate openings.  Can be cut shorter for smaller tailgate openings
• Width: 6 inches - Fully bridges gap between truck bed and tailgate in lowered position when installed correctly
• Adhesion: Two-strips 3M high strength double-sided adhesive foamed tape. Adhesion promoter wipe included to enhance bond strength.  Especially necessary on "imperfect" bond surfaces and Spray-on-Liners.

Installation on late model GM trucks

Forward edge pressed in to corrugation. Rear flange only adheres to high corrugations to keep straight hinge line

Rear (stiffer) flange bridges the corrugations - only adhered to tops - so keep a straight "hinge line"

GapShield should look like this (laying flat) when tailgate is opened. Usually "takes it time" to lay flat in cooler weather. In this case, keep free end tucked in gap, out of the way, when not in use for hauling loose materials.
